The Rev Canon Dr. Robert S.G. Wright
I retired from full time ministry in 2015 having spent seventeen years as Rector of St. Mark's, Niagara on the Lake. Prior to that I was a priest in the Diocese of Ontario serving as Rector of nearby St. John's, Stirling for twelve years.
In March of 2016 I was appointed Interim Priest in Charge of the congregations of St. Paul's, Marmora and St. Mark's, Bonarlaw then in January 2017 became Priest in Charge of the Parish.
My wife, Patti, and I live on a property of 30 acres, north of Madoc on Barry Road, in a house we purchased in 2002. We call our place in the country, AWAY, named after the novel by Jane Urquhart.
I have a passion for the Arts, (particularity music), Theology and enjoy reading fiction, especially Canadian literature.
While there are challenges to doing ministry in small congregations these days, there are also great joys to be experienced in working with the good people who call this part of Eastern Ontario, home.
